Purpose
The purpose of the Benefits Mapping Workshop is to assist organisations with the process of the Defining a Programme, as defined by the OGC’s Managing Successful Programmes (MSP™).
Service Details
The service is delivered in three phases:
Preparation
The Outperform consultant will meet with the Programme Manager to review the programme documentation available to date and to gain a firm understanding of the programme’s background.
The consultant and the Programme Manager will then identify who needs to participate at the workshop, determine when and where it should take place, the specific objectives for the workshop and prepare and issue a workshop brief to all the participants.
Delivery
The 1-day Benefits Mapping Workshop will be run by a registered MSP consultant or Six Sigma Black-belt depending on the nature of the work involved.
The workshop will
· confirm that an adequate vision statement exists
· review the stakeholder identification and analysis
· assist in the development of the Blueprint, focussing on the “to-be” processes and confirming that the organisation can deliver the capability defined in the vision
· develop the Benefits Management Strategy and Benefit Map
· assist in the production of Benefits Profiles
Support
The amount of support needed during the Defining a Programme process may vary. The Benefits Mapping Workshop service includes one-day follow-up review with the Programme Manager to ensure that the process is still on plan. Additional status reviews, mentoring and specialist workshops can be provided if required.
