Purpose
The P3M3™ Workshop is to show how to use the Office of Government Commerce’s’ Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3) to improve organisational performance. It will demonstrate to delegates that there is more to maturity modelling than certification, by providing delegates with:
· A self-assessment method
· A framework for planning
· A Framework for measuring improvement initiatives
By the end of the event, attendees will:
· Have understood the background and purpose of maturity modelling
· Be able to explain the five levels of maturity and how the P3M3 model is constructed
· Be able to undertake a P3M3 self-assessment using the check-lists provided
· Understand how the output of the maturity model relates to the 4-step framework for process improvement
· Be able to initiate process improvement using P3M3
· Understand the APMG assessment process and certification benefits
· Know the benefits of using a maturity model
